Care guide

Disclaimer: I am not responsible for any accidents or neglect that occur once a piece is within your home, though, if you ever have any issues, let me know & I will do the best I can to help remedy the issue!

Preserved Insects need to be kept out of direct sunlight and away from any heating vents. Sunlight can remove colour from the specimen and cause humidity to build up inside the enclosure, leading to mold.

I freeze all of my specimens before preserving to prevent mites or dermestid beetles. all stored specimens are kept with both moth balls & pest strips (both help deter dermestid beetles)

these are the biggest threat to your pieces, they eat organic material (normally skin cells & natural fibres in carpets) - my frames are sealed for extra protection. I do not seal my domes as it can cause clouding of the glass over time.

if you’ve ever had carpet (dermestid) beetles, please treat your home before keeping taxidermy or insect specimens.
